Just FYI, the Octagon SF8008 v3 Supreme (from Rick's) can tune low symbol rates. With the dual tuners, I would say this receiver is a formidable competitor in the FTA market. Running KU on one tuner and C-band on the other. Current image (four slots) is TNAP 6.1. Credit and thanks to El Bandido for his help in getting this working.

Does it do 4:2:2? And what C band LNB are you using for low SRs? I use the Titanium Blue LNB (5G filtered) and was unable to lock any on my 10 footer with the V9.

Sorta side question, is it the TNAP 6.1 that allows low SRs or the hardware? I've seen the non-supreme version "around"
my take (I might be wrong) is that it's likely a combination of both. We know that E.B. has modified drivers to allow low SR since TNAP 5.1, for specific tuner hardware. But the Octagon 8008 has been known for a while to also have low SR abilities, it's been reported in the past, maybe at Rick's, but also on European forums.

A deeper dive into EB's findings tells of the different tuners used in different revisions of the SF 8008.
He also points out through testing that the latest does not exactly live up to what the mfg. states if actually can do.
Although I don't have an 8008. TNAP does offer 3 different tuner driver selections for the osmio4k series.
TNAP having a show signal below lock is a pretty slick option in setup also,

Side note (again lol): I got a motorized Ku dish working the past few days. It's a former Dish network dish (was my grandmothers), it's approx 22"x28" oval, similar to the Slimline. Using a SG2100 motor. I flipped the mount upside down like I've read in previous threads and have it fairly well aligned. While a bit on the small side, I can get 87W, 117W and 123W. 117W was a bit more fussy than 87 or 123 but I seem to have dialed it in good enough. I have fixed dishes on 97/99/101/105 Ku and there doesn't seem to be much else to "look" at on Ku band. I'll provide pictures eventually...

Can't see much past 61W due to location in the yard. Plan is to either put up a fixed dish looking at 30W/34.5W or moving the motor to see that far. Those are the only 2 sats I don't receive that I'm interested in getting.

Is Anyone Receiving Intelstat 35e ?
