my satellite is having issues and won't connect for some reason. is there anyway to bypass the satellite search so I can use my OTA tuner in peace? I'd like to at least watch SOME TV today.

I know I have made a thread on this before, but I can't find it. Just want to reconfirm something: I have an SD receiver in a room and I would like to disable it and save the $5 mirroring fee. I just want to know if they'll let me do this and keep the receiver to turn back on whenever I need it.

Are there any diagnostics I can run? If I replace it, is there a way I can do it without being charged for a service call? Is there anyway to save my recordings? I only have 10% free, so I would lose a lot :\
