Now a member of the 4' c band club

I am now a proud member of the 1.2 meter c band club :D Today I had some free time so I decided to slap a c band LNB onto my 1.2 p* dish. My mounting technique was quite complicated, consisting of a single zip tie to hold the lnb in the same place the P* lnb was mounted :) After playing...

    I think this is funny

Hooked up my analog reciever to KU for the first time today. I had seen on lyngsat that Lifetime was on analog KU on 121, tp 32. Swung the Bud over and started changing channels on the analog reciever. Well, long story short, did not find Lifetime (which the wife wanted) but I did find something...

1.2 meter CM / lnbf questions

I have been playing with my 1.2 meter channel master and have reached the conclusion that the LNB leaves something to be desired, mainly the capability to recieve horizontal polarity. I receive no signal at all on the h side, and so far have only been able to hit real strong DBS signals on the v...

Went and picked up a new dish today

About a year ago I saw a large primestar dish at a defunct rat shack about a half hour away. I asked the owner (who lives above the ex shop) what he was going to do with it and he told me if I wanted it to grab it. Well, after a year of procrastinating I finally grabbed a buddys truck (that...

    g10r signal- lower than normal?

I am moving my dishs around today, working on getting my setup finalized. I have both my p* and my 76cm pointed at g10, with disappointing results. Neither of these two dishs are giving me enuff signal for a good lock on tp 11720v. The p* with a 2700a hooked up to it, no switches in line, is...

Rain and radio shack "waterproof" f connectors

After 15 days of rain, I have found out how well the Radio Shack "Waterproof" f connectors work. While they are f connectors, they are not waterproof. I have a pansat diseqc switch outside that 3 dishes feed. All of the cables connected to it use the radio shack connectors, while the unused...

What are you getting for signal on g10 with winegard 76cm

During a break in the clouds i went out and with my daughters help tried to peak my 76cm with .5 db lnb on g10. The best sq i can get on 11720 is 35-39 (using her satworks). Just wondering what other people who are using a 76cm dish are getting for sq on that notoriously weak tp and what you are...
