When I try the games on my CS5000 they're really s-l-o-w like the CPU in the receiver can't handle it...and the sound is nearly zero. Mine is a clone though (didn't know that when I bought it). That might be why.

Hi all, I too am waiting for the mythical 4:2:2 stb. I thought Mpeg4 and S2 were other names for 4:2:2. Apparently I was wrong. Are there other "secret names" for 4:2:2 that I can look for? Many Thanks -Jerry

Let the bud sit there 6 months. NPS is quietly testing an IPTV deployment via C-band. Might end up a good alternative to pizza. Looks like it might be ready by spring.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll check some other VC channels....but it's worse now. I did the 30second unplug trick. Now all my sats are gone. The thing is erased. I'm going to have to do a master reset and start over. bummer.

Hi all, My TDT was at 1920 so I did my first master reset last night. I have all my sats and subs (VC and DCII) reprogrammed and working. I did a DCII rehit from NPS. It worked. Didn't do a VCII rehit because it looks like the reset didn't affect it any. (my VC channels still work)...

I've heard people say that a full transponder of analog c-band (aka Dr Gene) can run 200k/mo. Well, if you can bounce 10 or so Ku Digital channels thru that same TP then the above estimates of 10k to 25k would sound good. I'd guess 10 to 25k.

Hi All, When the time changed in mid-March, my '922 made the switch just fine. Then, a couple weeks later (not sure exactly) It was suddenly off by an hour. What's weird is that the EPG has the shows correct (i.e. current show = center column) but it is one hour earlier on the time...

I told them I wanted 4:2:2 and to license DC2 (and megapipe) from Motorola. Why couldn't they license DC2, sit down with Comcast/Hits, and make X4 a "3rd" pizza dish option?

Hi guys, just curious... if ku=ku=ku, then why can't a guy just slap a linear lnb on an 18" dish? are the dbs satellites putting out a "hotter" signal than the others or something?
