Why is there a monthly service fee for a HD DVR? Is the recording process somehow controlled by SAT? Am I missing something here?? Is there any advantage in purchasing new HD receiver W/O recording capability and buying a seperate market available HD DVR ? :)

Is it true that you can not get OTA on TV set 2 ? If so then can you use an old VOOM receiver for an OTA tuner on set 2?? It would have to be hooked up to the HDDVR 622 since SET 2 is an old analog TV. I can now receive 9 HD OTA channels which make up the majority of HD programing we watch. ;)
