Using the take the receiver & tv up next to the dish. I take the line running from the 44 switch to the 129...disconnect the 129 dish and run the line to another dedicated dish. I thought if I did 611 and used 129 as the satellite I'd be able to seek or hunt for a 72.7 signal. But NO luck...

Just started a day or two ago. When you go to check signal strength you get (picture), which locks up the boxes and you have to do a RBR (red button reset) to un-lock the boxes. It appears to be the same software version that worked ok until a couple of days ago.

Comcast finally added an sd version yesterday...small wow.

With DISH if you're on a channel you can hit menu 6-1-1 and it will display the signal strength of the channel, as well as, the sat and transponder. Is there a similar way to test a Directv channel.

Is there an larger sized dish or dishes that can be used and combined in order to received neighboring spotbeams. I guess the dish or dish combination needs to receive 2 sats at 99 and 103 ... any others? and what lnbs need to be used? switches? etc. Thanks in advance. I know you can use...

Am I correct that the Smart Pack doesn't include any HD channels? Would the locals still be received in HD? Would you have to downgrade your dvr and receiver to sd receivers? Are there any other economy packages available to existing subs.

Does it matter which sat is fed into inputs 1-4 ? Should a particular sat be input #1, ex. 119, etc.

I'm certain that someone in this forum knows the answer to this. In comparing Directv, DISH, and Comcast I recently noticed that the same MLB game on Directv was 5-10 seconds ahead of the DISH feed and up to 15 seconds ahead of the same feed on Comcast. Is this the result of signal processing...
