I am an old DN installer but haven't installed in a couple of years. I use to have trouble with Samsung tvs getting a poor quality HD picture. I'm now shopping for a new tv and I'm wondering if Samsung has fixed thier issues.

didn't 61.5 get the cbs hd where 129 didn't??? or was that changed resently... either way i think all the hd channels are on both sats, which is very convieniant for LOS issues

if you have 2 ft of snow, the ground probably isn't froze that deep. I'm told 150 ft is the limit is the limit on cable length. I've gone further. He shouldnt use the C-band wire, the distance can cause problems sometimes, but I know alot of people who do.

I've been looking around for a project and came across this. I tried it but can't get it to work. Eventually I'd like to try to get 5 sats on one reciever.

we use to take the side plates frome the old Superdish roof mounts and bolt them to the bottom of the pipe. These Smarthome items are cool enough but they require far more forethought that is usually used when doing an install. I have always used just plain silicone and have never had a leak...

prices only went up once in the last 18 mos. that not counting the last HD package upgrade.

i had a customer ask once about taking his dish to Peru, It would be an interresting science experiment. However Australia is way to far east to even get the 153 deg sat.

are there any low frequency barrels or ground blocks in the system??? a bad one will cause the same problem. at the dish , with the reciever on, see if there is power in the line.

I don't see any reason not to try to sell off the old equipment. Afterall they are selling 2800's yet. I don't think they will sell to many of these renumbered rejects.

Generally any compression fitting is acceptable. I use Thomas & Betts, Stirling, and Digicon. Crimp-on fitting are not allowed.

It asks if your a customer, I assumed it was ment to be used by intellagent customers too.

not to be picky but you need some better fittings and some weather seals wouldn't hurt. are any of your connections corroded??? little things like that will give you trouble that is hard to trace. You also need to change those Low Frequency ground blocks, the DPP44 switch can burn those out...
