I started getting Starz Cinema and Encore Mystery today. I have Americas top 200. Is anyone else that has top 200 or lower getting these channels. They are channels 344 and 353. Is there a free preview of those channels this month?

I have the same problem. I have a Vip622. It all started with the new software download. I unplugged the receiver and it still does not work. I hate that now once I get to ch. 100 I have to back off one channel and press the guide button to get around it.

When I called and made the switch the CSR told me that there were about 8,000 people that have Absolute.

Has anyone called in and asked about Absolute HD being discontinued? Did the regular CSR know what you were talking about? Did they transfer you to the special dept. that is handling the change over? I just don’t want to get screwed over with a worse deal down the road if I don’t get the call.

I don't think if you are in a contract for 2 years and have no introductory offer that the price should ever go up during that time. Price hikes should only be allowed if you do not have or are out of your 2 year contract. Once they have you locked in a contract they can raise your rates as high...

I think only one person said what they offered. Other people said they got the call but did not say what dish offered them. Could other people that got the call please post what you were offered by dish?

I was at the other site. I saw a post from someone who said they got a call from Dish. They told him that he will need to switch to another package. They said they are going to be killing Absolute soon because of contracts with programmers. I have no idea if that is true or not. Has anyone else...

That satellite that went out of control earlier this year couldn't have caused a problem could it? I have no idea if it is still causing problems for satellites anymore.

I don't believe that would be illegal for all the providers to pool together on negotiations. Aren't they all supposed to be getting the same deal or close to it? That is why channels get dropped. They end up charging more to one provider and then get dropped and usually end up going to court...

ESPN News I have an all HD package. I started getting the SD version of ESPN News today. Does anyone else that has an all HD package now get the SD version of ESPN News? I wonder if they will also give us the other SD versions of the other 3 channels we lost.

I am sure that is why the CSRs don't know what's going on half the time. About every month or so things change. They get trained on things 2 days before they change again. It seems like the CSRs are always 2 months behind on things.

I have seen this also. It happens on HD channels every once in a while. The SD channels are fine. I have a Vip 222. I just let it go for a while and it works it self out. I think it has something to do with the video processor that dish uses in the receivers. I have also noticed this happen with...
