    this is from KVM, which makes mobile dishes for use with D*. For their system they say For installations of three or more receivers and TVs, an active multiswitch (such as the Channel Master model 6214IFD or equivalent) must be used.

    If you go with cablevision make sure you have a good cable line going to your HDTV. In my little experience with HD from cablevision, if the house was prewired or has too many splitters the HD picture will pixelate often.
