There are some changes to the Fusion mux, a quick re-scan brought back 3 of the channels, but I'm not at that house now, maybe someone can post the updated info.

Yes i also came up with only 3 channels at 3934H SR5714 FEC-3/4 QPSK,
there also a ton of transponders on the horizontal side but no channels, here
is a list:
3768H SR1307 5/6 8PSK
3774H SR923 5/6 8PSK
3784H SR3287 5/6 8PSK
3805H SR1307 5/6 8PSK
3811H SR1845 5/6 8PSK
3815H SR3538 5/6 8PSK
3840H SR27691 9/10 16APSK
4120H SR27691 2/3 16APSK
4146H SR7230 5/6 8PSK
4152H SR1308 5/6 8PSK

Why should an SR change remove KDEV? Have you rescanned?

I'm at work tonight, so I can't check this myself. Hopefully KDEV isn't gone permanently...

Like I said above, I'm at work and can't check it. Not sure why my asking a simple question like that should get a "dislike" from you, but whatever floats your boat.

so what is the new symbol rate?

edit: looks like its now 3934H SR5714 and reported as only 3 channels

it doesnt disallow chanels. But it all comes down to bandwidth and how good the channels look

Remember those stations are owned by Fusion (when Equity went bankrupt)...maybe they found new owners?
I know that KWWF (that was in this mux) moved over to the one that Fusion has on 87W (with what was @sports)...so maybe they are moving stuff there?

Ok, so the higher the symbol rate, the more bandwidth it handles? Guess I'm going to have to do some research now as this sounds interesting!

I only wish I was at home now so I could check. I have another 8 hours to go on my shift...

Oh well, good thing I updated to the 10 foot dish, so METV on 101w doesn't vanish on me anymore like it was. It was nice having KDEV around though for the 2 hour time-shift.

I hate it when they do this. I got only 3 channels back after a rescan. Looks like a change in the bit/symbol rate. At least my wife is happy to have the central/east Univision feeds again. I think there's still a sat with the west coast feeds but my wife doesn't like the later feeds that occur on the west coast feeds. Now I need to update the Elite with this info. I guess I should get Dish Latino for the wife because she'd probably kill me if this happened whenever I'm out of town.

correct. Those 29270 or 30000 symbol rate transponders take up a whole TP. Thats why they always seem to be frequencies like 11960, 12180, etc. In the old analog days a full TP took up 20 mhz. So with digital thats what they do with a full one. Thats why Globecast uses 20000 or 22000 for symbol rate. The higher the symbol rate the more capacity of a transponder you have.

a digital TP can actually be chopped into 6mhz transponders (like what the news feeds do). Those 3978 or 4232 symbol rates for news feeds is just a portion of the transponder pie.

Now you can cram as much as you want on a TP if you dont care about quality...thats why I wish RTV would turn up the symbol rate on the KU side....
