Has anyone else had this occasional problem of two 1/8 inch white dots in the middle of the screen.

Haven't had it in a day or so but it comes and goes with out any ryme or reason.

It is not the TV and it dissapears with other satellite providers.

What is it???

Yes I thought I had a scratch on my screen. All you have to do is turn the power off then back on to get rid of it. I think it is kind of annoying though.

yeah but dont tune back to the same movie. lmao they come back. It must have something to do with the movie.

I get horizontal dashes pretty heavily on some SD stations, especially ABC family. I also get a vertical dashed line, actually looks like a sin transform, after some time. Re-boot the box and its all OK.

Thought I had bad pixels on my plasma...

Sitting on the safa last night and noticed a couple of white dots appear near the center of the screen. I tought, "Daggumit, bad pixels already?" Got up to look closely at it and I found that it was in fact a nice little anti-aliased explaimation point. I started to laugh and tell my wife, but she doesn't think that this stuff is too funny.

Changed channels and it went away...

Are these dots present on all channels or on some select ones?
If it's on a select channel - it is likely a source problem: not much you can do. If it's on all channels - it might be a glitch in the program (like the one described here). Pressing VOOM and then WATCH (or OFF/ON twice) usually clears it.

For some reason, these white dots only appear on my screen half way through the Playboy Channel.

I noticed that too. It happened to me a last weeks. I thought my DLP was having a problem, but all I did was go to the another channel and than back again. The problem was than cleared.

In mine it is small horizontal lines, about 10 pixels wide @ 720p on a 720p panel with a heavy dot end. They are mostly on my sons channels Nick and ABC family, but I saw it on TLC last night. It is like noise all over the screen, not on all stations, only SD. It is on component and DVI.

My wife pointed it out to me today for the first time. We had one small white dot on the screen while watching any channel through the Voom STB. Even when we would switch channels, and the screen would go black in-between tuning channels, the white block would stay there. I turned the STB off and back on again, and it went away. Weird. I hadn't noticed it until today, but my wife said she saw it doing it the last couple of days.

This sounds like the other problem with saturation or something like that. Do you notice it mostly on reds?

I just had this fairly large white dot last night. I tried switching channels and changing output modes. Then a long, thin, vertical white strip appeared. Finally a reset cleared things up.

I noticed the same problem on my DLP on sunday was on all channels i turned to so I turned off tv and turned it back on was gone. It was on both high def and digital. have a feeling its a tv problem only had it happen once.
