2010 NCAA Football Season

The the grand scheme of things, over the last 10 years, the body of work has been those two teams....and that's about it. After Boise and Frenso, go down the rest of the conferences and compare over the last 10 years and you will see that the OTHER teams of the ACC AND the Big East have done TONS more in reagrds to accomplishments than the rest of the WAC AND MWC combined.

Yep, I agree, do not let facts get in the way of your opinions.;)

You never do.

Interesting how SOME actually think that only The U has "thugs" on their team.... Funny how ONE WORD in the title of this story says it ALL!

Meyer addresses Gators’ staggering arrest rate

Sep 16, 9:57 pm EDT

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP)—Florida coach Urban Meyer is fed up with the run of arrests in his program.

When receiver Chris Rainey was arrested and charged with aggravated stalking last week it marked the 30th arrest—involving 27 players—in Meyer’s tenure.

“I try to evaluate everything about our program,” Meyer said Thursday. “I’m real upset about that. After a while, enough is enough. If there’s something we can improve on, we’re certainly looking into that. It’s like if our graduation stinks, then we’ve got to improve that. If there are other issues in a program that’s our job to get it better. People making stupid mistakes, that’s something we’ve got to correct.”

Meyer, who has won two national championships in his six seasons at Florida, bristled at the thought he’s running a “dirty program.”

“I don’t care,” he said, when asked if he was concerned the program was being perceived that way. “We do our best to win games. Dirty program? It’s not a dirty program. We follow the rules and some guys make mistakes and we’ve got to correct those mistakes. We follow the rules. We do it the right way at Florida and we have to do a better job with correcting some of the people making mistakes.”

Rainey, indefinitely suspended from the team, faces a third-degree felony charge for allegedly sending a former girlfriend a threatening text message.

“He’s angry and disappointed that the whole thing happened,” Meyer said. “We’ve got to move on.”

Asked what Rainey has to do to get back on the squad, Meyer responded: “I don’t know.”[/QUOTE]

Watching college game day on ESPNU in HD :), sorry Erin Anderews does nothing but annoy me, her segements bring that show down!

Is it a good thing that Coach Snyder is back at KState, or what? Depending on the Nebraska and KState performance today, there may be only one or two Big 12 north teams to be rated in the top 200 or so teams in the country. With the Big 12 south loaded with 3 top ten and as many as 5 top twenty teams, this could be a very strange year in the Big 12?:D (Washington will beat Nebraska and the PAC10 will again be considered a major power conference.)

And Meyer has suspended rainy till further notice.. (The Gators STAR Receiver)

Also note of those 27 how many actually resulted in some kind of conviction? Very few according to what a user posted a few pages back.

What is rainys charge? sending a threatening text msg.. Why was the message sent? That we will never know, but I do know I have certainly been pissed off enough by plenty of people to threaten them. Of course in todays age text messages are forever, its not like a phone call when its he said she said.

Let's see. If we point out the acheivements of Boise, TCU or Utah, they are dismissed because of their conference. But when evidence of the conference maybe being better than what you perceive, it doesn't matter, only the team does.
Although I am an ACC bigot, I do like the WAC.

Let's see, we all know about Boise State.

Fresno State hasn't been horrible.

Hawaii has had decent teams over the past decade.

Louisiana Tech isn't bad.

And Nevada-Reno has been a runner-up a few times. And if the Pac-10 is going to be a "good conference", then the WAC is (or now with the conference losing 3 schools, was) a pretty good conference, too.
