Well, we are less than four weeks away from the start of the 2014 Masters Tournament so I thought I would start the annual thread for one of sports most celebrated events. Tournament play begins April 10th at 8:00 am.

Tournament Television Schedule:

ESPN - Wednesday April 9, 2014 (Par 3 Tournament) TBA
ESPN - Thursday April 10, 2014 Live coverage beginning at 8:00 am
ESPN - Friday April 11, 2014 Live coverage beginning at 8:00 am
CBS - Thursday April 10, 2014 CBS Highlight Show from 11:35 - 11:50 pm, EST
CBS - Friday April 11, 2014 CBS Highlight Show from 11:35 - 11:50 pm, EST
CBS - Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm, EST
CBS - Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 2:00 - 7:00 pm, EST. Includes all 18-holes of the final-round.

Of course, I'm sure ESPN/Golf Channels will be broadcasting much of the preliminary action in the days prior to the tournament.

Offhand, Mickelson is looking like an outsider and Woods is looking like a longshot (think 3-Wood) this year. We shall see.

Is this the PGA rankings or the Moonlite Bunny Ranch Best Customer Ranking?

Arnold Palmer invitation this week. A few big names, but Phil won't be playing and Tiger withdrew with an ailing back problem. Speaking of ailing back...seems like these injuries are becoming all too common for Woods: knee, ankle, elbow, forearm, wrist, back, etc. With his ailing back and flailing game (so far this season) it will take a minor-miracle for him to whip his game into shape to compete in the Masters. We shall see.

Tiger Out Of Masters

Tiger Woods will miss the Masters after undergoing back surgery earlier this week for a pinched nerve that has been hurting him for several months, the world's No. 1 player said Tuesday on his website.

It will be the first time in 20 years that Woods will not play in the event.

CBS Execs have got to be crying a river of tears...

I'm going to be watching.

I love watching the Masters. That course is gorgeous and the filed of golfers, young and old, is great. If you want to make golf even more fun to watch just get into a golf pool. I'm in two different ones just for the Masters. There is one I'm in that is season long but only the larger tournaments. Ten tourneys out of the year each person picks a team of 8 golfers and we keep the best 5 scores and the lowest score wins. You must have 5 golfers finish the tourney though, so on a tough course you may not make the cut. It makes the tourneys a lot more fun to watch.

Watching Bubba Watson last year was just amazing. That shot he hit out of the woods was ridiculous.

Wasn't that 2 years ago?

Kevin Stadler is the leader in the clubhouse right now with Bill Haas at -4 still playing.
