Found this at CES.

What do you all think? Would anybody like to see the temperature on there STB?

Interesting concept. So many other devices around of now that show the temp.

How does that display the temp via the STB?? "Return" Diseqc data, as far as I know, isn't implemented in any consumer DVB-S/S2 'box'.
And in all actuality, when it's this cold, (-17°F yesterday AM) I don't need reminders.

DR-HD STB's support it. I have a hot cake model to try it.

Where and how does it display the detected temperature? Personally, I don't want more things in the signal path.


EDIT: O.K. That was answered. Had eye test this morning dilated eyes not seeing too good at the moment

I've never seen -50C here, nor do I want to. However, according to one of the well known but unwritten laws of antennae theory, the colder and more miserable the weather is when you install or repair an antenna, the better it will work. Imagine how well their antennas work when they can install at -50!
