A DVR upgrade question(s)

I hope someone can help me. I am think of upgrading to a DVR for one of my receivers. Right now I have a single LNB dish that runs to D10 receivers (mirrored).
I would like to add a DVR to one of the rooms. I have read 2 cables are needed to run a DVR, so do I need a new Dish? I have heard ther is a code for a free DVR, but any idea what D* will charge to install the DVR and a new Dish, if needed?

The best help you can get is to call D* and ask them.

log onto your account on directv, click on upgrade equipment choose the R15 and in the coupon code enter dvr4u2 and you'll get a free R15, free installation, and they'll run a second line for you. That's how i got one of my R15's.
