Adding a new satellite

I am trying to add 89.0W to my coolsat 6000, by selecting a 0.0E location and modifying it to 89.0W. However when I exit the satellite location field it reverts back to 89.0E. There is just no way to make the "W" stick. It looks to me like a firmware issue; anybody else experience this? Also, is there a firware upgrade for it? Another option mayt be to use the Coolsat 5000 satellite list -- is it compatible with CS6000?

Yes, as a matter of fact, about 2 hours ago, this happened to me. I got aggravated and quit for a while. I've got one of the SatelliteAV deals on the Coolsat 5000 and was trying to program Amazona's in it, I couldn't get the W to stay either. I was thinking it was something I was doing wrong, but you're probably right about it being a firmware issue. At any rate, I couldn't get it to work either.

Try just entering the 'E' value. I believe 89W would be 271E.

If I remember right, the channel editor (NDFEdit) does it all indexed by it's E orbital location but the receiver fixes it to say the W value.

huh? I just go to USALS and make it 89.0 and the E I hit "ok" and it turns to W

hit exit and save it :)

I've added Hispasat & PAS9 on the box using their legit locs on a Coolsat 5000
