You could just mute the TV and listen to the radio broadcast. Don't you have Sirius/XM?
I do, but they never sync up and when the radio is talking about something, it's not necessarily what the TV is showing.
I also don't have an XM set up for my home, just the car and my work truck.
So far, the Tigers lack of being able to turn a DP or two cost them the first game and a lousy call on strike three that would have been a walk and a run scored to tie it up has cost them the first two games against the Braves.
Heyward / Bousch
Of the Heyward / Boesch debate, so far neither has done anything drastic.
Heyward was 0-4 with a K yesterday and did not play today (not sure why, he did PR today late)
Boesch has gone 1-8 with an RBI and a K
That being said, there hasn't been much hitting in either game.
Only 3 hits today for the Tigers and 6 for the Braves.
Yesterday was 6 Tigers and 7 Braves, so good pitching has ruled this series.
So far !!!

Heyward won't play tomorrow either. Going to a hand specialist Monday for a thumb injury. They talked about it on the Braves telecast on SportsSouth. It's a pain having to listen to Chip Caray though. Also sucks having to follow the Sox/Cubs game on GameCast, Local Fox is showing Dodgers/Yankees.
Tom I had both games here in Minnesota. Was flipping between the Tor/Phl game on 213 and Atl/Det on 214..neither were blacked out

Wonder how that works for folks in Philly since D* doesnt carry CSN Philly? Wonder if they were blacked out?
WS are on fire, Tigers barely making a spark. Goodbye 2nd place, was nice while it lasted.
Now if WS can keep it going and overtake the Twins that'd really be something
That just may happen, the Twins have not been playing that well either.
That said, the WS better make hay while they are on this roll, because when this roll ends, they will be passed back up by the Tigers and Twins.
The Tigers and Twins playing poor will not last forever.
They won't play this badly, but the Sox won't play as bad as they were earlier either. Sox have the best pitching in the division and if they continue to hit they will be in this all year.
Tigers pitching staff when Healthy is every bit as good if not better than the Chi Sox and the every team has holes in thier offense somewhere, Tigers are working to full those holes.
Twins pitching is right close as well, better in some areas and not in others, but the Twins offense overall is much better than the Chi Sox and better than the Tigers as well.

Remember the Tigers have played poorly for quite awhile and are still right there.
The Twins just went 4-6 in the last 10, thats the only reason your close.
Just YOUR luck the Tigers and Twins play one another next, so you have a great chance to pick up ground.
Agreed. The Tigers will surely play better...at Comerica Park...of course, they won't win the division if they don't start winning on the road. I'm beginning to sound like a broken record.

Your right of course, they continue to be 5-10 games under .500 on the road.
Fwiw, the Wh Sox are 2 over on the road.
Twins are 2 under on the road.
Now if yopu want some positive to look at:
The Wh Sox are ONLY 2 Games over at home .... your suppose to dominate at home.
The Twins are a very respectable 1 games over at home.
the Tigers are 14 games OVER .500 at home.
So the Twins and Tigers are dominating at home while the Wh Sox are almost avg. actually below avg, if you consider that you should win at home.
The way I look at it if you win at home at a .666 % and above .500 on the road you should be in the hunt every year.
remember the Twins and Tigers get to beat up on each other coming up M-W at Target Field

...if it were a letter it would need to mailed to another zipcode to find home plate.
...if it were an OTA signal it would be considered an out-of-market distant local.
...that only Gary Cederstrom, on this day, could make such an horrific call.
Oh well, at least Mr. Gary "Magoo" Cederstrom admits he was on the take...er, I mean made a mistake.

Cederstrom, the day's home-plate umpire, said that when he saw the replay of his game-ending strike call on the Tigers' Johnny Damon, "It didn't look very good."
If Cederstrom had called the pitch a ball, Damon would have had a game-tying walk. Instead, the Braves got away with a 4-3 win.
Cederstrom said he called the final pitch too quickly and that, when an umpire makes a call too quickly, he "usually gets in trouble."
Tigers manager Jim Leyland held his hands several inches apart to indicate by how much he thought the final pitch missed the strike zone.
If Cederstrom had called the full-count pitch to Damon a ball, Damon would have become the fifth consecutive Tiger to draw a walk.
Instead, the called third strike from right-hander Peter Moylan on Damon allowed the Braves to avoid an amazing collapse.
"It was a sweeping pitch, going away from Damon," Cederstrom said. "It looked good coming in, then broke late.
"My timing was fast. Whenever you have fast timing as an umpire, you usually get in trouble."

Fwiw, I am much worse on some other words, but I am far from the worst here spelling wise.
I actually think I'm doing pretty good with 1 arm/hand ..... RC surgery and two legs that I can't get around on at the moment.
