Twins won so they were 3 games back at the end of the game...Detroit was technically still in 1st
Chicago won later in the day...leapfrogged Detroit and the Twins went to 3 1/2 games back

normally when you beat the 1st place team you gain a game

Ya the .5 gb thing bounces back and forth when the top two teams keep jostling.

I prefer to go by the END of DAY standing than the end of GAME standings.

Very reliable.

I like him very well.
Some don't like his antics, but I hear he's done that since he started.

Like I said, Valverde is in complete control, most of the time gets thru the ninth 1-2-3.

Jones had an attitude of, as long as we win, he didn't care how many hits or runs he gave up.
Jones WAS better than Rodney was. By a long shot.
