AL Central 2010

at the end they threw Thome a pitch that was called a ball for a 1-1 count. 2 pitches later Jenks throws the exact pitch in the same spot and its called a strike to end the game?

damn umpires

I agre, although I think Thome got a break on the first on of those 2, it was over the plate. You just can't take that pitch twice.

I don't think Boesch is "seeing" the ball very good. He really looks like a rookie out there right now.

He's needs something to get that confidence back.

He looks fine. Tough at bat against a lefty tough on lefties. More concerned about this bullpen tonight. This is a bad bad team we should just kill. Way to show up tonight tigers.

Tigers left their hitting shoes in Detroit. 8-2 top 7.

riffjim: "They suck on the road". (there, thought I'd save you some time)
Yes, unfortunately they do indeed suck on the road and there is no way to sugar-coat a soon to be 16-26 road record. :(

I noticed Detroit plays the Tribe tomorrow in a d/n DH

do teams no longer do twi-night dh'ers anymore? I can understand when you sell out dang near every game like some teams do but in Cleveland I dont see them selling out to not have a regular DH

A .342 BA and he lacks confidence ?

In my opinion, yes, today he looked like he did just that.

He was swinging at some bad pitches, the one rbi he had came off a ball that very well could have been a single, but he hit it at somebody.

The way he played in the field carried over into the batter's box, IMHO.

He'll bounce back tomorrow, or tomorrow night.

WEEI's Dennis and Callahan to be simulcast live on NESN

Don't look now, but Steve Lavin is making St. John's relevant again
