I just took a look at the footage of the base hit and you right ....
WHY is this guy playing Up the Middle, there's already 2 outs.
No need to turn the DP.
This mismanagement cost the guy a No Hitter.

The ball was hit directly to where the 2B would be playing normally.

Sportsnet said Longoria hits it up the middle a lot so thats why Hill was playing there

I know many of the contributors to this thread are Sox Haters ( or extreme dislikers!), but if you haven't watched "The Club" on MLB, you really should try to catch the last 2 episodes this week. The insight into the behind the scenes stuff was really cool. The 1st episode last night had about minutes with Hawk & Stone, but the majority of last night was trade deadline stuff. MLB replays these 2 all week, don't know if they'll replay the 1st 4 episodes anymore.

Not anytime soon since I am working back-and-forth between Dallas and DC. Our renters moved out after two-years (nice folks and my former company was paying his rent) and we haven't found renters we trust and I don't want to leave it sitting empty.
