All 94XX Public Interest channels missing w/522

My dish subscription includes several 94XX channels. None are showing up with my 522 on either TV1 or 2. When I go to the "All Channels" list, at the top end it shows the 96XX channels then it drops to the 60XX channels. No 94XX channels show up on All Channels list.

In the view mode, if I'm at, say, 122 then I type in any 94XX number, the channel jumps to 6000. It's like the 9400 block doesn't exist.

Something similiar happened with my 301 receiver some time ago, except it was a scattering of channels between 1XX and 3XX. I tried the Check Switch test, and that got everything back.

Ran the same check with the 522, but that didn't bring 'em back.

I reversed the TV 1 & 2 antenna cables. Also no luck.

Before suffering thru a call to a Dish CSR, I'm hoping someone here might have an idea of what else I could try.

There are HDTV channels in that range but they will never show up in the 522's EPG. The public interest channels should definitely be there. Unless someone has enabled Locks and locked them out, no idea why they wouldn't be there. Check your locks (Menu > 5).

Thanks for the suggestion.

The Public Interest channels in the 9400 range are exactly the ones I should be getting, but none show up as choices in either the All Channels list or the Subscribed list.

I checked the locks -- nothing locked.

In fact, in the 'Select Channels to Lock' menu, no 9400 channels are included in that list either.

I'm getting good transponder signal strength from both the 110 & 119 birds, so I guess dish alignment could be ruled out as a possibility.

Some 9400 channels are on the 110/119 satellite including major HD but many are only on 61.5 and/or 148 orbital locations.
Look to <http://www.dishchannelchart.com/> for the full list.
110: 9400-4, 9407-8, 9410, 9415,
119: 9409, 9411-2,
61.5/148: 9405-6, 9416-8
61.5: Dish Demo, WCBS, Voom
148: KCBS, repeated HBO and Showtime HD

You will need a second/third dish to get 61.5 or 148 and without it they are not in your guide. You should see only the 110's with the normal twin horn.

What's your point? He's not talking about the wing public interest channels. He's talking about those on 110/119 that should be there regardless. He already knows which channels are on the satellites he can get. This is a 522 so there's no need to list all of the HD channels since those CANNOT be seen by the 522.

Problem corrected

My 522 is again seeing all the 9400 channels it should receive.

Sunday morning all were still missing as described previously, so, for lack of a better idea, I tried the check switch test again. This time, 3 or 4 of them showed up on the All Channels list. (Sorry, I didn't write down which ones, if that makes any difference.)

Ran the check again, and all the 9400 channels I should be receiving from 110/119 showed up on the All Channels list, All Subscribed list, and every other list they had vanished from.

Maybe it was just the phase of the moon or something.
