Anyone dropped Platinum from their HD & Platinum and kept "HD for Life?"

I dropped Platinum this weekend and upgraded from the top 150 to top 200 with no fees and still have HD 200 free for life. I couldn't be happier.

Many of my friends are doing the same thing, trading the $10 Platinum for the $10 upgrade to AT250.

Funny , I did the exact opposite. I downgraded to top 200 from top 250 and kept Platinum. I found that I didn't watch much in the top 250 anyway, especially the encore channels that were in sd. Platinum does have a few hd movie channels that I watch . Epix is just one of them.

I'm thinking I'm getting two $5 downgrade fees next statement.

I did the same and got two fees. Should have done my research before I started downgrading... Oh well.

Just worked!

On the website I couldn't process the drop of HD Platinum (to just HD for free which I was grandfathered in) because I wasn't allowed to make more than one online switch in programming every 12 months. They gave a phone number that I called. They processed it in 3 minutes, waived the $5 downgrade fee, and wished me a goodnight!

Yup, dropped Platinum and kept AT250 and HD Free. But was charged $5 downgrade fee.
