asc1 help

i am having problems updating my asc1.i have follow instructions from the manual, but it did not work. Using windows11 and the rs232 cable i install drivers for the rs232 cable and as assign to comp3 when i open loader editor, i also try all of the loader software and only open with 2.2.device have not prepare, please reconnect cable and reboot update software. Any asc1owners that can help?thanks

1: Has updating EVER worked for you on THAT pc, with Windows 11 and with THAT cable?
2: Has updating ever worked on ANY of your pc's, maybe an older one with Windows 10?

It can be notoriously hard to get any particular rs232 adapter cable working properly with the last few versions of Windows. It's a real crapshoot. I know it worked with Windows 7, but even that could take some fiddling around sometimes.
