I've had no luck with getting at&t to bundle my wireless account with my dtv account. A contact number or suggestions would be appreciated.

Who have you tried calling? My understanding is that it must be done through ATT and they will then take over all your billing from that point forward. If a regular CSR cannot help you, ask for a supervisor. I have a feeling that regular CSR's don't have a clue how to do this, nor have they heard of it.

I've tried three numbers for AT&T, been transferred, on hold, (fill out a form first, and then you wait in the line - Paul Simon) and no one has been able to complete the deal or get me to the right people. Thanks for the suggestion to ask for a supervisor, I'll try that.

Can you bundle a wireless account with a D* account? I thought it was only wireline accounts, but I may be wrong...

I know for a fact that it used to be. Back in 2008 (or what ever year it was that AT&T quit bundling with E*) I tried to bundle with my ATT Wirless account, and they said it had to be a landline/DSL account.

I just spoke to ATT yesterday. You have to have a land line account to do a bundle. I have the home phone, cell, internet, and DTV all bundled. I wanted to drop internet (went to cable) and home phone. They said I had to have home phone to bundle. That may be your problem.

Rudy,
Do any of the numbers you called end in 2020 ?
If so, that IS the right number.
Call again.

I will look for the number, I have it at work, but don't know if I have it at home.
I gave it to someone on the site a month or two ago, but don't know how to search for it that way.

you need a wireline (home phone) or internet setup to bundle

I know I have Qwest for internet and Directv only

I have no landline.
I bundle internet, wireless and Direct with AT&T.

tried 800-253-2020 and after being on hold 20 minutes I had to go without talking to live person.

Hmmm, that number doesn't ring a bell ....

This isn't the number I was thinking of, but it may get you where you need to go .... 1-877-827-5288.

Also, you should be able to call D* and they will either have the number I was trying to think of or transfer you over to them.

It may be data only but they still have a phone number attached.

I have "naked DSL" as Qwest called it back 5 years ago. My bill still shows a "legit" number but when you call it nothing happens. The line has no dial tone...just beeps to let the line know its still active

I use my ex phone number in my account. Ditched it last year with no regrets!
I get a dial tone. Just can't make or receive calls.
Says "the number you dialed is not receiving calls at this time."
Must be driving telemarketers crazy.:)

AT&T uses a fictitious number, it has NO DT on it, doesn't beep or anything, you can sometimes hear the modem when you pick up the line depending on what is going on.

Btw, the fictitious number is your Acct number.

Actually, you probably can use that DT to make a call, but only one call, that would be 911.
