I have an 8 footer I consider a mini-bud.. . The new LNBF would work fine on it I am sure, one LNBF quit a few months ago and am planning to order a replacment soon.

I just got a used old wiltron sweep generator so I just need a feedhorn. To start i'm going to try and use AI S2 on other side since a SA is out of my budget.

Just trim back a wavelength on the end of a piece of coax and create a dipole or use a cantenna cut for the correct band. You only need a radiator element and orient for desired polarity.

Perform tests in a RF neutral enclosure. That should be a fun project!

How will you use the Wiltron with the AI? The AI needs a transport stream unless using the spectrum display?

I use a DekTec PCI DT107, but there are less expensive modulators with only DVBS option. See them on Ebay occasionally for $200+
