Been posted elsewhere.

Nexstar's relationship with CBS brokedown in several markets, so on August 1st:
Albuquerque: CBS is moving to a subchannel of Hearst's KOAT, KRQE/13 is switching to FOX (FOX is currently on Nexstar's KRQE-D2)
Birmingham: CBS is moving to a subchannel of Hearst's WVTM, WIAT/42 is switching to CW (CW is currently on Sinclair's WTTO/21)
Greenville SC: CBS is moving to a subchannel of Hearst's WYFF, WSPA/7 is switching to CW (CW is currently on Nexstar's WYCW/62)
Jackson MS: CBS moving to a subchannel of Hearst's WAPT, WJTV/12 is switching to CW (CW is currently on Nexstar's WJTV-D2/13)
Minot-Bismarck: CBS is moving to a subchannel of Forum's KBMY, KXMB/12 is switching to CW (CW is currently on Nexstar's non-carried KXMB-D2). In other part of market Minot assume CBS moves to Forum's KMCY and KXMC moves to CW
Rapid City: CBS is moving to a subchannel of Forum's KNBN, KCLO/15 is switching to CW (CW is currently on Nexstar's KCLO-D2)

The other 36 Nexstar CBS markets were renewed

It doesn't make much difference these days what the call letters are. They're all owned by the same billionaires and spewing the ideology they're told to by those owners. We are losing our independent news sources at a rapid rate. Bigger is never better in this case.

I miss Walter Cronkite.

FOX NM is actually on RF 13.2 not RF 16 from Mr Tony.

Rf ch. 16 RMP ch. 41.1 belongs to KTFQ-DT UniMas Spanish TV Network.

As for KOAT-DT they may have to kick one diginet out to make room for CBS-HD on 7.2 or bitstarved on one or more diginets!🙄😛

You gotta keep college or NFL fans happy without any bitstarved pictures quality which is going to pretty hard on MPEG-2 encoders!😲

Correct!

And if I were a bettin' man, I'd say KOAT will boot QVC or True Crime.

Also KQRE will now have at least one open slot once Fox moves to the main .1 feed.

yeah I know. I copied my info above from a post in the Directv area. On Directv they must have the subchannel on 16 so the copy/paste didn't work right here :coco:coco
(Since Directv can't use subchannels on the guide if a network is OTA on a subchannel there is a different number. As example in my market KEYC CBS is on 12 and FOX subchannel is on 13. On Dish they usually try and use the "rf station" number or the "preDTV RF number. So as example on Dish KEYC CBS is on 12 and KEYC-DT2 Fox is on 38 which is where KEYC had their RF station at the time)

Being in Directv world channels lineups can be pretty weird at time...😛
not really. Unless its on a subchannel the channel numbers are pretty much where they were. As example in Minneapolis in the analog age the stations were on 2,4,5,9,11,17,23,29,41,45 which is where they still are on both Directv and Dish even though they are now at different numbers. 17 is on 2-3, 29 is 9-2 and 45 is 5-2 due to having owners of the original 2,9 and 5. (another Minneapolis quirk...the owners of say 5 & 45 merged the numbering together so 5-1 is ABC and 5-2 is Independent even though they are on 2 different RF numbers).
Its only the small markets where they have had subchannels for networks since day 1 :) Directv tries and gets the subchannel next to the main station if they can. If they can't then they work with the company to see where it's going to be put. Albuquerque as example they may move CBS to 8 and FOX to 13 (from 16). I have no info on that...just making a guess :)

well there is that one little spot north of the main signal that those folks can get 1 station ;)
This is the overlay of all the stations that NBC owns in the ALBQ market ;)

Now what if Disney not happy to see ABC being next to CBS on a Hearst owned stations?🙄

Could Disney take ABC to other Albuquerque stations or just maybe buy out like KCHF-DT and convert from religious to a Disney owned and operated ABC stations.

Just one of possible theory that could change the major ABC TV network to be yanked out of KOAT-DT?😲 If this were to happen?😎

doesn't matter since Disney has no O&O in Albuquerque. Nextar has a station in Johnson City, TN where CBS is the -1 and ABC is the -2. There are other areas where ABC is a subchannel. I think there are 8 markets where there is no ABC licensed to the DMA (Mankato, MN being one of them) and its funny that most of the areas GrayTV owns everything else in the DMA (Mankato, Presque Isle Maine, Parkersburg West Virginia as examples)

Disney isn't buying any new stations. They own 8 and mainly in huge cities (NY, LA, Chicago, Philly, Houston, San Fran, Raleigh and Fresno)
