Connecting the LAN on Dish Network receivers in Mexico?

What is the concensus about connecting the LAN Connection on Dish Network receivers when they are in Mexico? Would this be risky on a Mexican DSL or Cable network since the IP address would be within a block assigned to a Mexican ISP?

Does Dish Network care about this enough that they would lookup IP addresses with potential consequences of shutting down an out-of-US receiver?

Trick Question! But Dish has service there in Mexico so it's a 50-50 answer. Depends what service do you have if you don't have the mexican don't do it!

You could run your Dishnetwork receiver internet traffic through a US based proxy. Then your receiver would appear to be in the US. I assume you want to take your receivers to Mexico on an extended vacation?

I guess they could look at the IP address and see where your box is really located.

You got to keep in mind that Dish is looking for account stacking these days, so if you only had 1 receiver on your account there would never be a reason for them to look into it.

If you have more than 1 receiver, if anyone from Dish ever looks at your account your going to have issues guaranteed.
