(From sixto at dbs)

It's now 10:45 est, 577 is blank with a D* logo, shouldn't they be doing updates ?

I missed the launch as I was working tonight, would like to see it still.

thats a long time to wait isn't it ?

Yes, it's longer than normal, but then again, rather get it right ....
Don't forget, the time frame has D as well as the people that launched it to take into the equation.
D* doesn't get it till EVERYTHING is completed by the launch people first.

Sixto has all the updates at dbs.

Every time is listed above, but what good is it if you can't SEE it.
Why is the channel (577) not showing whats going on with it now ?

Again. You can get the latest updates from the people who launched it here...

Right now everything is going according to plan. One more burn overnight, then separation of D12.

Latest
We have confirmed that the Breeze M upper stage has successfully completed its 3rd & 4th burns, as well as jettisoning its additional propellant tank. The vehicle is now in a 5-hour coast period, during which we will have nothing to report. The 5th burn is scheduled to start around 4:13 a.m. EST, or 09:13 GMT. Separation of the DTV 12 spacecraft is scheduled to follow the 5th burn completion by about 12 minutes.

+ DTV 12 Mission Successful!

Posted by ILS Communications Team, 4:40 a.m. EST on 29 December 2009 | 1 Comments
We have had a successful mission with the Proton M Breeze M
rocket, carrying the DTV 12 satellite built by Boeing Space
& Intelligence Systems for DIRECTV. We have had confirmation
that the satellite separated from the vehicle on schedule at
4:32 a.m. EST, or 09:32 GMT, 9 hours and 10 minutes after
liftoff.

WHHHHYYY no HD this morning??? What a waste of money this satellite is! I'm leaving DirecTV! <sarcasm>
lol:D. the worst part is done and over which is great! i'm ok with waiting till april or may as long as everything works out and we get another wave of HD channels ;):D

I'm one of those waiting to see what new hd and other channels we will be getting. The recent rate hike and lack of customer service is forcing me to look at my local cable company. They have a very good hd lineup and with their bundle discount, I could actually save a few bucks. Now I have to wait and see! Patience grasshopper! ;)

D12 is successfully up there now, and needs several months for various testing.

I found it interesting that at about the same time DirecTv got D12 up there, Dish announced they are hastily cancelling their CES onsite Press Conference.

Guess the apology announcement wasn't written to Ergen's satisfaction. :D
