Yesterday my GBOX 3000 was not turning on.After 20 min.of trying i opened the box, looked around and found that one of the resistors(R3) is burned.
So went to ratshack and bought pack of 5 (47-ohm 5%) thinking that are the same as the one on the right(R2)resistor.
After installing the new one it burn up again
Any help will be appreciated. THANKS

Well, I see discoloration on the board under the cap on the left. Suspect shorted cap. (heat causing the discoloration)The item between the cap and the burnt resistor I suspect is a 3 pin (LM78xx[??])voltage regulator. may be shorted also.

Hi tofica, how did you make out with your repairs?

I have the same box, if need be, I can have a look inside
mine and tell you the value of that particular resistor.

Now, if you've decided to replace your Gbox with a new one,
perhaps we could swing a deal on your old one?
My "<" (left) button on the front doesn't work, the problem
is in the circuit board, and not the switch.

Once again, if you'd like me to look inside mine, let me know.
