Digitrans....

It looks like my DTE-7150 except for the "TA" designation and the mpeg-2 ASI connector on the back which mine doesn't have.

It's here now...

OK guys, I haven't powered this thing up yet, and I need some Digitrans pointers. 4 satellite inputs- can use 4 dishes with it? Video out needs a BNC to RCA adapter, yes? ...and how do you connect audio outputs to those terminal pin lookin' deals on the back? ...any help from you veteran DSR-4800 and Digitrans guys will be greatly appreciated! :)

I used a BNC to RCA adapter for the video. For the audio I took two RCA cables and cut one end off of each cable, stripped the wires and pushed the center wires into the L+ and R+ holes and the ground wires into the L- and R- holes. Not sure if it's done right, but it seems to work ok.

Remember that the Digitrans does not switch polarity on voltage-switched LNBFs like the consumer receivers do. This is why there are so many LNB inputs. I find that stacked LNBs work very well, since the receiver is capable of L-Band frequencies up to 2150 mhz, and you get both polarities using only one of the inputs.

That should work fine, if your concerned about the audio being right take an ohms meter and check to see if the - negative pins ground to the chassis or not, they should.

yes it will work. All transponders are vertical
5150 LNB LO

Horizontal transponders are vertical and 600 mhz lower so like world harvest is at 3400 V 26400

or if it accepts 5750 as a LO then the V transponders will be 600mhz higher

Working on planting my 2nd bud tomorrow. Picked up the cement today. Told my wife and she said "you don't need my permission". Lucky for me she understands the FTA concept...the more dishes the more tv to watch.

Congratulations on the 2nd BUD! 2 BUD's are better than 1! :D:up

Well that is true. I just wish I wasn't doing it to work around trees but that's they way it goes. Will be nice to have 2 when watching something different in the bedroom.

Tron, I went into the menus on the "RF in" button and found a setting for "LNB: HI/LO" and on "LO" it puts out 11 volts and on "HI" it puts out 19! LNBF switching! :D:up
(I'm not telling my wife 'cause now I don't need the 3rd BUD w/bandstacked LNBF but wanna do it anyway!)
