DiSEqC Switch

Hi

DiSEqC 1.2 supports , switch position selection from 16 different inputs (SMATV)

I wan't know whether any 16x1 switch is available in market, if it is available means can some tell the model name

Welcome back, Mohan -

There are some 8x1 switches on the market in North America.
I have not seen any 16x1 models.
Maybe they are expensive and only distributed for commercial usage...?
Certainly none in the $20 range.

Perhaps other members know of one?

In DiSEqC 1.1 mandatory command there is command called

"Write Freq" - Write channel frequency (BCD string)

The spec says it for SMATV and they provided definition

"In some SMATV systems, the “tuning” function may be performed at the
antenna end of the cable, so that whichever channel (broadcast signal) is
selected, it is carried at the same frequency over the cable."
