I called directv Sunday to ask about DOD and was told I could order a kit for my HR21 starting on the 10th of this month. One was 30.00 for a poweroutlet and the other was 60.00 for a powerstrip. What I want to know is will everything you need to setup the DOD service be included in the kit and will I have to order 2 of the 30.00 kits for two seperate outlets.

The $30 kit is a ethernet to powerline adaptor for networking it. you'll need to hook one to the receiver and one to your router.

Assuming you needed a kit instead of wiring it, then you should be good.
