PBS has switched their C band feed from IA6/8 which i get perfectly to
AMC4/16 which gives me all sorts of sparkles no matter how i peak the
dish. The desire is to get PBS perfectly and only PBS with zero trouble.
So i purchased a coolsat 5000 and put it on the
same 1 meter dish that i have for the unitymotion. (AMC3)
Problem is that after a few hours the ac3 audio cuts
out and i have to channel up and down to get the
audio back. Makes it hard to set up automatic recordings.
Evidently all of the fta receivers with the connexant chip
do this. As does any pc card with the same chip.
So I'm looking for a solution that would work a long time with
zero troubles.
