Anyone ever hear of DirecTV providing local channels for Tucson, AZ off the 129 bird?

Yep that bird is for echostar. It's not possible.

The Tucson SD LIL are at 119W (DIRECTV 7S) and the HD LIL are at 103W (DIRECTV 10 or DIRECTV 12).

As others have noted, 129 is for Dish, 119 is for some of Directvs sd locals.
