Any updates? I am anxious to see what they do with it and how quickly once it gets to its final position.

Does the second license mean that are not moving to 77? Is this why it is moving so slowly?
No, this means that they needed more time at 110W to complete the hand-off. E8 is still moving slowly towards 77W and it isn't likely to get there by October 12th. According to the latest TLE, it will reach the area on or about November 8th. I'm not sure how the expiration of the move authorization will be dealt with.

I don't know how to read TLE data, but if you go by the data on n2yo.com, it should reach 77W by October 20. I realize that this probably isn't 100% up-to-date.

That is mostly what is going to be on 77 West.
You must have a new "G3" smart card to receive anything on 72 or 77, by the way.
E-8, W-101.56 degrees, altitude 22,153 miles. If I recall correctly, altitude was 22,168 about 10 days ago. Faster drift?

Orbitron indicates crossing 77W on November 1st. I'm not sure what's up with n2yo.
Perigee height: 35703 kmApogee height: 35733 km
They have dropped it down about another 25 km. That is 3 distinct moves down since they started and with it at about 75 km below geo today, it is moving along at at good pace.
100W today and moving almost exactly 1 degree/day which puts it at 77W on Oct 25 if they do not change the altitude again.
They don't seem to be in a hurry, do they? E* is one of the more frustrating companies with which one deals, since it seems the likelihood of more HD is dependent upon getting the EA spaceware in place.
This is NOT indicated by the latest TLE which puts it crossing 77W on 31 October at about 5:12am GMT.

Today's FCC filings include Echostar request for time extension on move. they say it's moving at 0.7 degree per day and will arrive on site at 77W sometime during the first week of Nov and waiting for approval to operate.
The model that I'm using is SGP4. Are you using the authentic DoD model?

Now crossing 77W on 27 October at 1pm Zulu.
