I know that we have lost some of the channels on this satellite. I am wondering what will happen to these open slots? Will they get replaced by more fox stations or another network? Anyone have a clue what will happen to these channels?

The open slots wont be filled. In fact if you delete the channels and rescan they have been removing the "open slots"

All the stations on those 2 transponders (11800 & 11720) are owned as of right now by Equity Broadcasting. They went bankrupt so they sold off most of the stations. That is why they are leaving. A bunch were lost on 6/12 as the full powered stations needed to go digital and Equity had no money to put up a digital tower. So those stations left. As the new companies get the stations running the existing ones are leaving. That is why we lost the 3 Fox stations on Monday. MaxMedia (the new owners) took over and they have their own microwave setup for the stations.
