OTHER GTMEDIA V7 or V9?

Is the V9 programmed with N.America sats? Is there software/hardware support?
Just received mine yesterday. It is programmed with satellites from 3E through 108.2E and 61W through 0.8W. I just save this to a USB memory stick as my Europe list then start editing it using the remote control as I scan each satellite that I can receive. It's not so difficult.

You can also use the database editor application that you download but I find the remote control is easier. After all the North American satellites are entered then you can use the editor to arrange them in the order you wish.

Tried to lock any low symbol rate feeds yet? ;)
Since you ask, I had to try! Listening to WPR Classical on 99W Ku. Locks it solidly while using my Invacom QPH-031 LNB. It does take several seconds to lock in, but once locked it's solid at SQ 81%. Nice station; first time I've ever heard it. What's the lowest SR tp you can throw at me?

The V9 can go down to SR 300, but WPR at 360 is the lowest I've been able to snag so far. That being said, the dish is fixed on 99. Once the motor is installed, I'll try some low SR feeds on other satellites as well.

I have not tried it yet.
I'm starting to think it isn't compatible with the current software in the V9 Prime. I can't successfully just open a db file, save it without changes and write it back to the V9 Prime. After all, the editor was made years ago whereas the current software is dated March 18, 2025. It seems incompatibility would be logical. At this point, I erased all satellites, and am now entering each satellite manually via remote control.

I adjusted the frequency 1 MHz up to 12028 V 360. Now WPR scans in easily and also plays reliably when using the V9 Prime. Just 1 MHz change made a difference. However, the Edision Mio+ still won't lock or scan the low SR mux in.

So I just installed both a V9 Prime and a V7S5X in my operating area beside each other to accommodate a new dish system I'm installing today. When I go to power up the V7S5X, I notice the V9 Prime switches off! Other commands from the remotes must be different since those don't cause simultaneous actions.

Other than syncing the two devices and letting them power off and on together, how does one prevent this interaction? I may just leave them both on all the time.

We had that happen with our son's equipment. He has a large TV for watching and a smaller one to use as a computer monitor. Both use the same remote signals. Best we could come up with was shielding the remote with your hand while pointing or going right up to either tv and aiming the remote directly at the sensor. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a remote though.

You can't. I unplug the V9 when using the S5X. The remote commands are too similar.
Maybe that suggests we should have them out of sync power-wise. If only one is powered, then only one will react to commands. Then when you push power button, they power up/down respectively (out of sync), and you can use the other receiver. Unless recording something, this probably would work.
