This wouldn't in any way address a nonworking RF in the HR20-100 would it?

No - these updates are just for H20, not HR20.

HR20 got an update a week or two ago.

Have you enabled RF mode in remote setup?

Ooops, no "R", how could I have missed that? The uselessness of the RF on the HR20-100 is well documented. I'm not sure if it's downloadable fix for it or if it's just an inferior manufacturing problem but when I saw those download upgrade, I had a dash of hope. That has since dashed away.
