As the proud owner of two Harmony Elite remotes that now don't work, is there any fix for this problem yet? I thought the problem might be with the plus box so I tried to disconnect it. (Removed connections between plus and hopper and restarted hopper), but I couldn't get the Hopper to reconnect. Obviously, I missed a step or two. Can anyone give me some instructions on how to remove the hopper plus and just use the h3 as a stand alone receiver? I never use the plus anyway and if it is the problem I would be glad to be able to use the Harmony Elites again.

As an after thought...the Harmony does still work normally EXCEPT with Dish's equipment.

Had that happen once.
I just logged on to the harmony remote site and plugged in the remote and have it reload the remote. Worked after then. Not sure what happened.

Larry has a Hopper+ plugged into his Hopper 3. That negates most of the functions of a Harmony remote. Once he removes that Hopper+ from the Hopper all the Harmony functions will return.

Thank you for the advice. The plus has been successfully disconnected and the Hopper 3 seems to be working normally. Sadly, no change with the operation of the Harmony. I'm going to try reloading the Harmony through the Logitech website. Hopefully I can remember my password.

Using your 54 remote press Home twice, go to Remote, scroll down to Infared Reception and make sure it is set to On.

IR was switched on already. Did a sync on the Harmony, but made no difference. It looks like we will be using two remotes for awhile. I guess at least we can probably rule out the problem being with the P13712 software.

Just for jeepers, pull the power from the Hopper for a minute and then plug it back in. If that Harmony was controlling the Hopper before you added the Hopper+ it should work now that you have removed the plus and it did its reboot. Maybe the Hopper needs a fresh reboot to get back to normal.

Still the same...I have another idea that I'll try tomorrow. If it works I'll share it. If not, I won't waste anyone's time. I'm also thinking about trying a Sofabaton X1S remote.

Add me to the list of people that Harmony Hub remote no longer turns on the Hopper 3. Have to hit the select button on the Dish remote to get the satellite on. Tried repairing with Hub, no joy. Harmony 650 in MB has no such problem. This problem started when I took 398 update on August 14th. Didn't realize the problem was the software update until I read this thread tonight. I also checked my remote settings in the H3 and IR is set to on. Hope there's a fix soon as the Mrs. is not happy. She and remotes don't mix well to begin with.

I finally took a look at my Hopper 3 this morning before the F1 race. It's running H398 downloaded back in August. I used my Harmony One and selected the Hopper Device and used the Power On "button" to switch on my Hopper 3. It turned on as expected. I then used the Power Off "button" to turn it off. Finally, I selected the "Watch DishNetwork" activity on my Harmony One which powers on the Hopper 3, turns on my Denon AVR, turns on the LG 4K TV, switches the Denon to the Hopper audio, and uses the 4K HDMI input on my LG TV to watch the Hopper 3.

My Harmony One seems to be working okay with the current Hopper firmware.

When I did check updates about 30 minutes ago already on H398, it still did a update and it's still H398 on the Hopper 3, not sure what was actually downloaded. Maybe it's one or more of the following on the Diagnostics screen:
Application Software AN712
Features Live Version FL_VENT_PROD_3
Transceiver Firmware 0012

I have a question I have been meaning to ask, when one does a Reset Hopper in Diagnostics on the Hopper 3 from the menu, does the Hopper Plus also reboot? I know when you reset the Hopper Plus, it does not reboot the Hopper as one can usually tell from the buffer of the Live channel being watched.

I have hopper 3 with version H398. I have had some instances where I have a recording that I am playing back while it is still recording. I catch up to current time on the program and it says "Live TV" - but it just freezes. Can't do anything but get out of it so it releases the frozen screen. Then I go back to the DVR recording (still recording) and it allows the RESUME feature, but that takes me back to beginning of recording. Is this a known issue?

Yes, I've seen that as well. Have to FF to the place that I was.

This exact thing has been happening with me. I'm watching a recorded show and it froze three times. Press start over and FF. Sometimes the FF says Live TV but the program is frozen. Also the Lions-Chiefs game on Sunday was pixelating like crazy on my local ABC network on Dish. I keep checking software updates but it's still on H398.

Our hopper is hardwired and it shows the weather icon. screen looks normal!!! the one thing i wish they would fix is i should not have to enter my pin code to view the weather app things like ppv and my dish acct yes :coco.. our hopper came with H398. another thing is my 54 remote has been telling me that i'm not subscribed to espn when i tell it to tune to that channel :mad: :eek:
