HR 21 won't play recorded show

I did a search and could not find an answer, so.....
If I set a show to record in the future, then play it back "do you want to delete" message pops up. No run time just the message.
If I record a show "now",while watching it, the show plays back just fine.
Any ideas.

All HR2x (All HD-DVR series beginning with HR2): Black screen may appear during playback of
recorded programming or while viewing / recording simultaneously. STB Engineering is working
on this issue now; do not replace IRD. Call Centers are aware of this issue.

That's not the problem. When you try to play a recorded show, as soon as you press play the " Do you want to delete this recording" message comes up. The show does not play at all.

I have had that happen to me as well, a reboot of the receiver fixes it for me.

Check your signal strengths. When this happened to me, it was because one tuner was getting no signal for some reason. As peallen said, rebooting the receiver fixed it.
