Happy New Year from your friends here at SatelliteGuys.US!
I am currently tuned to 34.5W C band.
4 AFN channels are listed in blind scan.

1- AFN Prime
2- AFN news
3- AFN Sports
4- AFN Sports 2
Have you inserted a dielectric slab in your LNB since this satellite has circular transponders? That transponder has a C/N lock value of just 1.0 dB so it is the easiest C-band transponder on that satellite to receive. Anything on 4132 R 30000?

4178R 1870 has stronger signal but no channels found. Perhaps it is data TP.

Yep, I got the dielectric plate inserted. I can't lock 4132 R even after tweaking the dish a bit. Maybe I need a larger dish to catch that :D .
Anyone here can lock 4132 R 30000 on 34.5W?

I have tried to use a side Ku LNB to my fixed 30W Hispasat dish, but unable to lock.
It depends on where in Texas you are located. You may be outside of the beam. Go to SatStar.net - Satellite Data and check the footprint for the Caribbean H/V Beam (Ku).

Did you get any signal at all (for example on the stronger French service transponders)?

Oh no! Here in N. PA on 34.5 W on a 12' dish w/o a plate I can get the AFN tp at around 3 dB.
Any others, forget it.
Depolarizer in, signal is quite a bit stronger but not great and lets me scan in 4132 with ease.
Haven't tried ku band yet. But a baby dish won't hack it for c band I'm sure.
4178 I believe is a data tp. Would take someone with a dvb card to tell though I believe.Or a dvbsnoop guru and Wireshark.

<transponder frequency="4178000" symbol_rate="1871000" polarization="0" fec_inner="3" system="1" modulation="5" is_id="0" pls_code="1" pls_mode="0" />

from western CT, with a side-mounted Titanium C1W-PLL with dielectric slab, on a 10-ft Winegard Quadstar:
AFN mux: stable reception at 7.2dB, plenty of margin
ANUVU mux (4132R30000): 4.7dB, and it requires 4.0 dB to lock, so not much margin.

I know I can also receive both with an 8ft dish, with the LNBF properly centered. Not sure of the DB levels

Note that the only unencrypted channel there is the MTN test card on 4132. AFN is fully encrypted, but if I remember correctly there was a time where AFN Sports was ITC for a while after the switch to HD back in 2018 or 2019
