I'll be back on Sunday night from our vacataion and turn my folders back on at home. I don't like that trend line on our team I am seeing :)

That's just because everyone is on vacation. :)

I'm reinstalling the SMP client. Something got screwed up, and I was getting errors. Seems ok now, tho.

My Mac KP'd when starting a WU, so I blew away the queue file and work files to force another WU to download. It looks like these P3059 WUs have fewer points, but they finish in less time, so the pph is close to before.

The D325 seems happy Folding away on P2566 at 5.5pph, so I expect my weekly output to climb to pre-vacation levels.

Hey, hey! We're past two and a half million points today! Plus, even with all the vacations, we're going to have our best month ever and best day ever (currently at 32,362 points and climbing!)

Mike123abc es en fuego as our top Folder! I'm guessing he has a PS3 and a C2D or C2Q Folding now, currrently averaging over 3,100ppd.

My numbers are recovering to pre-vacation levels, but I'm getting frustrated with my Netgear 54G router. It keeps on locking up, forcing me to reboot it to restore my DSL connection (no DSL, no uploading results and no downloading new WUs.) Plus, it screws up my SMP client since Stanford uses the localhost LAN connection for interprocess communications. I've got a 10/100 Linksys 5-port switch that I can put in to fix the LAN stability, but the Netgear shouldn't be locking up like this.

Edit: Oh, doh! I noticed that after I upgraded the router a couple of weeks ago, I neglected to set the timeout back to 0. Let's see if that helps...

Yeah, I notice on EOC our trend line is leveling out and we jumped right back up in pts. I'm alos recovering from my vacation and just noticed last night that I didn't turn my wifes machine back on. Take a day or two for hers to start posting WU's again.

Well for this week (last day of folding today/tomorrow). I have a QX6700 running at 3.3GHZ using the SMP folding. It really cranks out the jobs. I also have a PS3 folding. About to go on vacation, will shutdown everything and turn up the AC. The weather has been cool this summer, so have kept it all running. The core 2 is so much cooler than my old P4Ds.

Congrats, SatinKzo! I'm probably 9-12 months away from that landmark; quite the accomplishment for you!

I have 2 or 3 WUs stuck in the queue. It says unable to connect to server. What are my options here. I have been folding for a few months now and have never had this problem. Any help would be appreciated. (Edit). Just got to work and have the same problem. Here is my log file of when the problems started.

honestly, just sit and wait would be my advice. I had the same thing happen at home. I had 6 - 8 WU's stuck and eventually they all uploaded. One of them took 2 months. Since it keeps the completion date, you'll still get credit.

It looks like that server is very busy. You should be able to surf to the IP address and port number with the server returning "OK" if it's up and ready to receive WUs.

Make that Down. The Stanford Server Stats pages sez:

My home pc always had upload issues when I was using it, my ps3 seems to not.

Hey FOXBAT, what in the world are you using to have that many points off 14 WU's? :)

Elwaylite, the Mac OSX SMP beta was returning 1,440 point per WU when I first started. The majority of my points came from the Mac, but since I got back from vacation, all I've been snagging is 1,167 point WUs. They do finish up faster than the old WUs, so overall production is still running around 90-91 points per hour with my Quad-core Mac Pro. Mixing in my PC clients, I average out at 1,077 points per WU.

Thats amazing. I have a P4 3200 Prescott with 2gigs ram and it takes A LONG TIME. I checked out TomsHardware charts and saw the new dual amd's and intels were 2-3 times faster than mine. Ive considered a new pc because this one is almost 3 years old, but really its plenty fast enough for a home pc

Im just amazed how much faster these new cpu's from amd/intel/mac are.

I quit using my home pc and just let my ps3 fold.
