Watched Dark Phoenix last night...

It was okay. Didn't like that it was sort of a redo of X-Men 3...

I have HBO right now for Westworld and have been debating whether to watch Dark Phoenix. I was a huge fan of the original X-men movies (bought them all on disk), but have been mostly disappointed with the reboots. And Dark Phoenix got especially bad reviews.

For my Saturday night movie, I opted for LEGO Movie 2 instead.

You can't go wrong with the Legos movies!

For my most recent movie streamed, I watched "Glass" on HBO Now. Hard to believe that "Unbreakable" came out 20 years ago. A worthwhile finish to the Trilogy.

I went on a movie binge during my last week with HBO. I did end up watching Dark Phoenix. I also watched Shaft, Hobbs and Shaw, and Joker.

Shaft turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Not a great movie, but just a lot of fun. As an action comedy-type movie, I probably liked it better than Hobbs and Shaw for the dialogue, humor, and story, though obviously the action sequences weren't as spectacular (and unbelievable).

HBO Now is now HBO Max. My son will flip that all his old Cartoon Network favorites are available for binging. I, myself, got caught up in "Dexter's Laboratory" :D

I ended up watching "2001" yet again.

"Ad Astra" on HBO Max. Boy, what a bad, bad movie. Am I glad I didn't pay to see it in the theaters.

Same here. It moved rather slowly, and
there were no aliens discovered at the end. :(
Why do you say it was bad?

I noticed last night the 2019 movie Just Mercy with Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx, and Brie Larson was free to rent on Amazon Prime. I went ahead and "rented" it knowing I'd have 30 days to watch it and not knowing how long it would remain free to rent.
