LNB question

You don't get C Band, you get Ku Circular Signals, like those used for Dishnet.
You would connect:
Recevier------>Motor----->Switch----->LNBs

Even though it's 1 unit, there are 4 LNBs inside, that's why there are 4 connections: CLCL

To get C-band, you need a six foot diameter (180 cm) dish or larger and a C-band LNBF.

You might hear about mini-bud, but they are for experimenting. Mini-bud reception for C-band is marginal.

another lnb question

so if there is 4 lnbs in it does that mean I can get 4 different sats without moveing dish by connecting to the 4 different ports on switch?

No, (and apparently we're talking about a QPH-031?) the dish and LNB is aimed at a single satellite.

Two L outputs are to hook to two receivers.
OR, the two outputs can go to a multiswitch which then can feed multiple receivers (4, 6, 8, etc).

The two C outputs are used if the satellite you are aiming at broadcasts circular polarized signals.
An example would be reception of NASA, an unscrambled channel on the 119° Dish Network satellite.

The QPH-031 is sort of a Swiss Army Knife of LNBs.
Good for lots of things (but not C-band).

thanks for help guys

thanks i think I,m finally catching on to this fta stuff sloooowly gettin there thanks to all for help:)
