Is there a way to put video files from a computer onto a USB stick and play them back on the MicroHD? What video formats does the receiver recognize, or is it proprietary?

The microHD is a basic media player. It plays back audio, photo and video files from a connected USB. Video playback is not proprietary.

Page 9 of the Owners Manual lists the supported file types. Page 63 gives the steps to play back a video file.

I'm happy to report the microHD supports my Rosewill two drive enclosure as USB-A and USB-B, 4TB of storage. Playback is awesome on most files. However most of my AVI files produce a codec error. Most of my TS files (recorded with MyTheatre) hang on the loading screen. The MKV files are stunning and I have one M2TS file that is unbelievable picture quality :). No problem with MPG file extensions. Havn't figured out VOB playback (DVDs) I did get one to play though. JPG display is what it should be(unlike the AZBox) the pictures display in their correct resolution. I know how to fix the TS problem(lots of work) So far I'm pleased with the media playback and really happy with the large USB storage. I have yet to configure the DVR function. I hope there is no problem there with my USB drive.
