Nascar 2009

I know. I hope it continues. One bad race would be all it takes for him to miss the chase. The points from 6th-12th are less than 100. This is going to be a nail biter all the way to Richmond.

Any one ever been to Bristol? My buddy and I were finally able to align our vacation time for the night race. His in laws have gotten free tickets in the past and thought we we going to score some more this year. Well we found out this week end that with the crappy economy, thier source couldn't get any extras. Crap!!!!! Jumped online yesterday and was able to get some tickets. We are all the way up in the Wallace tower. This will be my first time there. They were only 156 bucks for the Nationwide and Cup races. Not bad. The people felt bad about not gettings us tickets, they are going to let us stay in thier lake house. The house is a few minutes from the Tri Cities airport. We'll drive to the airport, then have shuttle service to and from the races. Man I can't wait.

Sundays race at Pocano was rained out, postponed to Monday at 12.

Anyone know if it's still on ESPN, it's not in the listings as of yet.
I would like to record it and watch it later tonight, but as of now, not sure where to find it.

edit:
Found it :

Live on ESPN

Monday afternoon's Sprint Cup race from Pocono Raceway will be shown on ESPN at noon ET.

You will never forget your 1st Bristol race. I have been many times, and have memorable moments from each one of them.
Do you remember George "The Painter Wilson"? I had done a dish install for him a couple of years ago. He really is an employee of the track & yes he actually paints. He is an extremely down to earth country guy. I probably should not tell this, but, the poor fellow only received his regular pay for the commercials he done and nothing more. I believe he is still a dish customer, I was by his place a couple of days ago and noticed the lnb and pole mounted dish was still all in place.
Hope you enjoy the race & your stay in our neck of the woods. :)
