i have an openbox s9 that i was going to take outside and try and bring in the amc3 rtn mux 4080 and found out that the openbox will not work with an exstension cord,as i have an adapter on the end of the power cord that came with the unit.I have another receiver that is standard definition, but is it any other way that i could use my sd receiver to at least to try and line up this transponder?

the TP you are talking about is dvb-s2 so you will need a dvb-s2 capable receiver to use while checking for quality on that TP....or you can use a SD dvb-s receiver to aim with as long as you select a dvb-s TP while you are aiming....

I usually take my Openbox out using an extension cord w/out any problems. All you need to do is wrap around the adapter that came with the unit to the box power cord using any tape. Plug the adapter to the extension cord and take your openbox out to fix any quality issue on any S2 TP.

got the juice going to the stb,but it won't work on my 12 inch tv which has only 1 cable in or satellite in jack...i get no picture or menue, any suggesttions ?

you edited your posts after I responded

If the TV only has a coax input you need a rf converter since the SSO only has a/v plugs

Or get one of the little 7" Tv's you see on line. Check and see but the one I have has RCA video and audio inputs which you can use with the SSO receiver...

I have the same problem with my Openbox S9. I tried three different extension cords and the Openbox would not power up. How did you finally solve the problem?
