Possible System Slowdown

I am doing some work behind the scenes, some of this work will involve some heavy database modification. Because I am screwing around with the database I am making a backup of the database (incase I mess something up)

While the database backup is happening you may notice a slowdown of the system while the database is being dumped and gziped.

I appologize for any slowdown that may occur. The slowdown if it happens should only take a few minutes.

The backup is STILL running (I expected this to be a 15 min operation!)
