i picked up something, gonna see what i picked up.

i get a bunch of aol radio chans and a default channel. what is that?

i got televida ambundante but it says scrambled. its in the ftalist. do i have a setting wrong or something?

its not scrambled. Should log in as the actual channel name (some channels log in as TV1 or SNG but this is the actual name)

what is your signal quality on it?

its at 75 or so. everything i get i scrambled. something up with the fta?

the signal strength stays at 70 or so for a few seconds then it goes down to zero then back up. like it resets. but signal strength on the install menu is constant.

signal strength or quality?
strength doenst mean much...just the the LNB has power

quality is what you need

weird...can you get any other channels on that satellite?
Like Alma vision and ESNE

if you have 75 quality than you should be on the satellite

try and delete the channels and rescan

The receiver was originally used for dish from previous user. Would that make me have these issues.

if it was used to steal beforehand, then yes I have seen that happen

Might want to flash the software back to legit status.
captiveworksusa.com has the software

I think so. It bought it for 30 dollars. It does have something in settings saying dish/beav or something like that. I'm at work so can't check for correct spelling on some of the options. If I do need to reflash. How do I go abouts doing so. Thanks so much for helping me.

There are only a couple more channels on the satellite

I would like to get the others and the radio. Guess I'll have to get a better signal and rescan. But I got what I really wanted to get. Thanks so much again. Next project is another fta with motorized. That should be fun setting up.

The radio station on that channel is on a 2nd audio. Hit "audio" or "language" on the remote and it should show a 2nd audio stream. Thats the radio
