sick of disputes

i am comparing dvr to dvr

directv $15 dvr fee +$7 +$7 = 29
dish $15 dvr fee + 0 + $15 for second hopper = 30

directv $15 dvr fee +$7 +$7 = 29
dish $15 dvr fee + 0 + $10 for super joey = 25

directv $15 dvr fee +$7 +$7 = 29
dish $10 dvr fee + 0 + $17 for 722 = 27

it can go both ways
its not as easy as dish is cheaper
directv fees are easier to understand as they remain the same across the board, dish varies depending on equipment

I can't keep giving the same facts when you keep changing the comparison and when your own quote from Directv is contrary to what you compared.

changes just like dish fees
its not a simple comparison
dish has too many variables
it can be cheaper if you chose the right equipment
it can be more

Well I think we were talking about the all inclusive pack which includes the Advanced receiver fee, and 2 rooms of service for 2 years.

After that it only includes the Advanced receiver fee from everything else I've seen.
So you are saving something by bundling.

So if you want to do a fair comparison.

It's $91.99 for Ultimate
+RSN Fee $0-7 depending on location.
$7 Room fee.
Requires Att wireless, or Uverse Internet.
$98.99-105.99
Depending on location.
Doesn't matter if it's a Genie or HR, or HD .
Additional rooms $7 each

Now
DIRECTV on its own
Is 91.99 for Ultimate
Advanced receiver fee, $15
First room fee, $7
RSN fee $0-7
$113.99-120.99
Additional rooms $7 each

Dish
TOP 250 $89.99
DVR fee $15 under the Hopper 3 and 2 as of Feb 2016.
$104.99
Additional rooms $7

Accounts not upgraded after February 2016

Top 250 $89.99
Hopper 1 and 2
$12 DVR fee.
$101.99

Additional rooms depend.
Joey $7
Super Joey $10
Additional Hopper $12

This must have just changed. I was able to sign up with DTV 3 weeks ago as a new customer with 4 rooms of service and Choice XTra for $118. It looks like their promotion now only includes 2 rooms of service for $111.

But Directv is still selling their product.
They didn't just lose 281,000 customers.

Nothing is stopping Att Uverse customers from going to Dish,
Except obviously Price ,security, and availability with Directv.

So I don't think it's fair to assume customers only want a cheap price.

It's easier to leave Directv than Dish.
Directv doesn't charge you to send your leased equipment back.
And customers are still leaving Dish in the blink of an eye.

That is an indication that it's not about price.
Charlie thinks it's all about price, That's why his main goal is to retain good customers to maximize profit.

Well I got news for you chuck, Stop taking away things and you'll retain customers and maximize profit.

Direct is more active in promoting & selling their product. They are always in Best Buy & Sam's while Dish is nowhere in sight.

Agree with that DISH has many ways to get service so comparing isn't easy particularly now with the Flex Pack added into the mix. My only point all along has been Directv doesn't offer the lesser expensive alternative, but no question for some the savings with Dish isn't always as great as mine is based on what equipment etc.

I think the 1year deal includes 4 rooms of service now.

Not based on my attempt to shop for service on their website earlier today (which I copied into an earlier post in this thread).

Two room deal, must add 2 more rooms for $14 more.

Well it doesn't affect the pricing I listed.
It's accurate.
So are we talking about 4 room systems now?

Or one room systems?

Because add $14 to Directvs price ,and add $21 to the Dish price
If you want to start talking about 4 rooms of service.

4 rooms of Directv under the plan includes the Genie/DVR service even after the promo.

Ultimate 91.99
4 rooms $28 doesn't matter what type either.
$126.99 a $7 RSN fee.
Or $119 without one.

Top 250 $89.99
HOPPER $15
3 Joeys $7
$125.99

So again not always cheaper.
And actually I think it $20 in credits for ATT bundle not under a promo.

Just look at the post I made earlier. I was trying to duplicate the anex08's 4-room setup. And that wasn't even for Premier, only Xtra

You DTV numbers are wrong. Here is the numbers directly from DTV's website for Premier for 4 tvs. $135 is still more than Dish's $126
(I removed the discounts, RSN fee and Premiums for simplicity)
  • ULTIMATE ALL INCLUDED See Commitment Agreement
  • $121.00
  • Equipment Fees
  • Tvs (4 TVs)
  • $14.00

I'm not going to argue with you , I know the prices.

You get a bundle discount discount that removes the $15 ADRF when you bundle Internet or cell service.
That is not a promo.

there are alot of channels that just need to go away

There are a lot of channels thbat have essentially gone away. They have virtually no new programming and.or nothing remotely like what they had when they were developed.

Look at The History Channel (now just History) and the second channel (History International, then H2, now Vice).
Try to find anything history related between Pawn Sh*t, Pickers, and alien shows..

The same is true of most of the topic specific type channels (the whole collection form Discovery). They're all showing the same garbage now that has zilch to do with the (ever changing) names.

Just throw another orange into the apple comparison.

Fine, and that's one of the real reasons Dish is losing customers. They are at a competitive disadvantage against the conglomerates. Dish is the only top 5 MVPD that can't offer bundles of other meaningful service. Dishnet is worthless unless it's your only other option for internet, so that doesn't count.
